What do you do when you are watching The Today Show like usual while having your breakfast and they show Niagara Falls partially frozen and looking particularly pretty? The same Niagara Falls you live within driving distance of? Well, you hop in the car for a little afternoon road trip. Late last week I went to see them, proceeded to take about a million photos, and somehow limited myself to posting only three on Instagram. I thought I would post the rest here because, well, at this point in the Winter we all need to remember the beauty of the season, right? What we don’t need to remember: the record breaking cold temperature Winter many of us are smack dab in the middle of experiencing. But at least I’m not living in Boston, that’s all I have to say about that. We definitely lucked out on the day we went, since it was one of the most beautiful sunny days with a bright blue sky. Here are a few photos if you’d like to take a look! (These are all taken on the camera on my phone since my camera manual clearly stated that operating conditions were between 0 and 40 degrees Celsius. It was about -30 with the windchill that day. Yep, so that was a no-go. Did I shed a tear when I got there and saw lots of people with their nice cameras taking photos. Yes, yes I did. But we’re moving on!).
Is it just me, or does that tree look like it belongs in a Dr. Seuss book? So funny.
Pictured below: Enjoying the view. Pictured below that: the claw like shape my hand froze into and remained in long after I had taken those photos.
Thanks for visiting the site and have a wonderful & hopefully much warmer weekend!!
